No mistakes just happy accidents

Thanks to the late great Bob Ross for that little philosophical gem.  Alas the new ssd while being recognized (ie the transplant surgery went well) is not being formatted.  I received the following error "unable to write to the last block of the device".  Called owc tech support and after holding and speaking to a tech determined that it is an issue with the S-ATA speeds on some of the apple optical drives seems it is too slow for my new blazing 6G SSD.  So the recommendation is to swap the HHD and the SSD so I get to do the surgery again.  Bonus at least this will put the SSD into the main bay and should provide full speed.  Also, I asked about the abilitty of the HHD to still disengage the head if there was a drop and was told that should still work out of the optical bay and if need be the system can boot and run off the old HDD from the optical bay.
Back to the OR...
